Girl Hangout At Madonna Inn

We had a last fun event with the group of girls that I used to meet with every Tuesday. We got all dolled up and went to Madonna Inn for desert. It was really fun to catch up and we were chatting for several hours. Everyone looked really beautiful.

Fun Valentine’s Weekend

Joe and I had a fun weekend visiting some old and newly made friends up in San Jose.

Valentine’s Day was the best I’ve ever had. The guys were so wonderful and made a romantic dinner for all of the ladies while the girls went out and watched a chick flick. We came back to one of the best meals prepared primarily by Joe and Josh (of the Thompson variety) for 19 people! It was so tasty and Joe was incredibly sweet even though he had been working hard all day. He even thought to wear my favorite shirt of his.

The next day we got to play a bunch of games, and I learned how terrible I am at Guitar Hero.

There are times when my husband blows me away at how he loves to serve others and his care for me. He is going to be such a great father.

Congratulations Tom & Chloe!

Our good friends Tom & Chloe finally got engaged last weekend! Joe and I are really excited for them.

They posted some really fun photos after they got engaged.

Gingerbread House Party 2008

This year’s Gingerbread House Party was not only our biggest ever, with around 30 people, but also I think by far the most creative. I think everyone had a blast getting to design things – can’t call many of them houses – and everyone had fun. Thanks to everyone who came and shared their creativity with us! Here are the photos from the party (as always click on the photo to see the whole album):

Doug & Shannon’s Wedding

We had a great time at Doug & Shannon’s Christmas themed wedding at our favorite of all places – Cambria Pines Lodge. Here are some photos from the event:

Dress-Up Fun

I’ve had a fun time of dressing up lately.

The first event was a bunch of friends going to see High School Musical 3 when it opened in the theaters. We all decided to dress up as different characters. From left to right the characters we represent are: Martha, Gabriella, Troy, Sharpay, and Taylor.
High School Musical 3

The second event was Halloween at work which was a blast. I wore my wedding dress with tiara and went as a princess, which is pretty much all I dress up as these days because it’s so much fun. They had a bunch of baskets all over the office and had people bring in their kids to go trick or treating. They were so adorable, with most of them being under 3.

As always, click on the images in this post to see more pictures from each event.

Avila Barn Fun

I finally got around to posting photos from our annual Avila Barn Trip that we had at the beginning of the month. Time with the girls getting good food and a chance to be outside is so fun!

Weekend Fun

Joe and I had a great time last weekend.

My parents came to visit so we decided to have a bunch of fun all around the coast. First we went to Avila Valley Barn, then Joe and I headed to church, and we finished off Saturday with a fabulous dinner at Linn’s Restaurant in Cambria – Joe was excited because he got to have “Black Magic” cake for desert which is what we had at our wedding and is his favorite cake. On Sunday my Dad played tennis with one of our friends and my Mom and I went shopping. Then we all played a bit of disc golf and cooled off at A&W. We all had a great time and it was fun to spend time with them.

Before my parents arrived on Saturday I spoke at the Central Coast Code Camp about Flex (Presentation). It was a blast! I saw a bunch of people I haven’t seen in a long time, including a friend from college who traveled up for the event, and the opportunity to meet new people. I hope to do this again sometime.

On Sunday night Joe and I gathered up some friends to go see Fireproof. We all really enjoyed the movie. It was such a wonderful encouragement for marriage and commitment. Afterwards a bunch of couples went out to eat together, and it was just a fun time to spend together.

All in all I’d give this weekend an A+. :)

Anniversary Fun & LEVEL Studios Launch

Joe and I had a great time last night. We both got dressed up and went to Madonna Inn, where we got to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary (a few weeks late). The food was fabulous (we both got steak) and they gave us a free slice of cake and an anniversary balloon. There was a great band playing a bunch of oldies, jazz, and swing. Joe was so sweet and took me out to the dance floor for a song. Madonna Inn is still one of my favorite places to go.

After that we went to my work party. Yesterday they changed their name to LEVEL Studios and had a big party to celebrate. Since the new brand is so hip, the event was a red carpet affair and had lots of photographs. Everything was free so I got to have a Shirley Temple, which is a fun treat. Here’s a photo of us from the night.

Dean & Jessica’s Wedding

I had a fun time at Dean & Jessica’s wedding this last Saturday. It was a beautiful location and everyone was a bit quirky. Yes, they smashed the cake in eachother’s face and Dean put on a snorkel set before he got the garter off. I think it was because it was a desert reception, so everyone was on a sugar high. Fun times.

Sandra gave us a bunch of photos from the night, so enjoy!
